Hey Danbi
This is the Nalu model I was talking about:
http://www.naishsurfing.com/2013/nalu-10-6-5-gs/I couldn't surf one of those narrower ones in choppy seas.
This is the thread I started which asks about best boards for choppy surf.
www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Stand-Up-Paddle/SUP/Whats-your-go-to-board-for-average-choppy-surf/ I ended up trading my Hokua in on the new Nalu. It suits me better and it is more stable. It's far better for paddling - more glide, less yaw -- but it's definitely more of a mal-style surfing experience.
Nose-diving isn't an issue (any more than with most boards) and yes, if you find the sweet spot you should be right.
I'd try as many boards as you can... and keep in mind that it takes a while to get the hang of it, especially when the conditions are tricky. You have to pay your dues - but that can still be fun.
Cheers, Dave
