Worth reading the article from link bellow and continuing the debate on seabreeze.

Personally I have to agree with kalama. A 14ft division should be the premier event. He has a good point. Faster is more fun....

you can keep your 14 footer and ill stick to 12.6 or under for BOP style events in/out of real surf beaches.....the ROW is not hawaii

is he just having a cry becuase he cant win on a 12.6.....but can clean up everything else other than bop style stuff.......if he doesnt like it thats fine he shouldnt race in that class....but dont take it away from others

I do hear what your saying and agree in some way that he may struggle to win a 12"6 event. And yes this might of motivated his article, however the craft being a little longer to me makes it so much faster and those that can handle the 14 can attest to what I am saying.

Yes the 12 6 is popular but mainly because is a market driven product. Its a market alrounder a one size fits all, appealing to all levels and sizes. Its easy carry, transport, store etc. But I agree with Kalama, the 14 is almost the same product just quicker and once you get used to it it makes sense to want the 14. and FYI I dont think he would win the 14 either. The OZZIES would smoke him. ESP on the GOLDY
