A good all round board for racing flat water and ocean swells, Also the odd small wave??
I want to do some events but i think i left my fitness a bit late to get into it
That is a sweet looking board BP !
What's the history with these Bark boards? Are there hollow versions, and Surftech versions... I will go and google.

Hi
No, They only do a surftech version, I never thought i would ever bother with a board like this but quite excited by the prospect.
So many places it can be taken, Even on the local lake where power boats are not allowed etc
BP, yeah the flat water boards are nice to paddle. They can actually add another dimension to SUP, and when the surf is crappy, small, onshore, etc, you will get the brain working, and go to other destinations and still go for a paddle.
The flat water distance boards also give you a little bit more motivation to "go the extra mile" pardon the pun !
.... get onto google earth and start tracing and measuring some paddles you would like to do, or retrace a paddle you did do, to get a measurement on it.
Sounds good, I have sat here for 5 days now No dam surf
I could be out there, Getting fit loosing fat and having fun. I also see there is a 8 series race event starting in two weeks here, But i left my run late i think
I may even get away with my kialoa methane i use in the surf as the bark has quite a deep steep
Yeah, you might get away with your Surf Methane (if you didn't cut it too short). You can sort of change your stoke a little, and bend the knees a little more, to adjust to a slightly shorter shaft.
Plus, the Methane blade size is a great starting point for flat water (depending on paddler, strength, etc)... anyway, the smaller blades to tend to give you less fatigue...
So is that Bark for sale in NZ ???
The Bark 12'6 looks very similiar to the Fanatic 12'6. Has anyone paddled both? If so, what are the differences?
