Sailhack said..Great vid Foamy - sums up the Nalu well...including the soundtrack & resulting smile!
Thanks - I smile because I love being out there.

Awesome vid! Put a smile on my face and just got me even keener.
I went to 4 different shops today and they all took a look at the size of me and suggested the Nalu 11'4 but one guy suggested the 10'6. He said I look fit and reckons it would be better suited for the surf and not much different on the flat compared to the 11'4.
The same guy said don't limit myself to Naish.
Not one shop suggested the Mana.
I'd be a bit worried about weight on the smaller board. I'm 105kgs at the moment and just turned 40 so not expecting to get any lighter:)
1 shop had the exact same board as yours and said I can have it for $1400 as the new models were arriving this week.
I've arranged to test out a couple tomorrow so hoping that helps me make a decision on the board.I haven't even looked at paddles yet:)
Yeah, it's hard not to be keen. For comparison - I'm 47, slow, fat and lazy and got a bad back - I reckon you'll be right on either board. I'd be comfortable on either.
I actually test rode the 10'6.5 prior to buying my 11'4 and I caught my very first sup waves (small ones in the river) on that puppy. It is a very good board and a lot of people prefer it. Personally, I figured the extra length/volume wouldn't go astray and I liked the idea of a bit of extra rocker for surfing. Look here for a comparison photo:
www.standupzone.com/forum/index.php?topic=22465.0. I haven't ridden the 10'6.5 on larger waves, but I suspect I'd still like my 11'4 better. In terms of flat water paddling I reckon they're around the same. The 11'4 drags its belly a bit more whereas the 10'6.5 sits flatter on the water.
I've only got any experience with Naish boards, but they do seem pretty good value for money. Plenty of others out there though. I was originally fixated on getting a Starboard Blend 11'2, but the lack of deck pad and less volume turned me off.
Paddles: Adjustable is good, so then the kids can use it properly too. See my comments here about the Naish ones:
