I've just returned home after a trip up the NSW far south coast with this baby and had everything from shoulder high onshore slop to 4' dredging glassy kegs.
Surfs so much like a shortboard, it's bloody unreal ![]()
Super stoked with it!!
Spoke to some crew that have it's bigger brothers....8'4" & 8'8" and they are frothing too.
This thing is 8'0" x 28" and 100L and weighs around 6kg in carbon foam sandwich construction.
Bit more volume than some other 8'0"s to suit crew that aren't whippets ![]()
Not bad Dean, like the colour. What are the specs on an 8'4" and fin configuration.
G'day Mick
8'4" x 28", 106L, 6.3kg.
It's pretty much tha same as the 8'0"....just stretched 4".
5 futures boxes so you can go thruster or quad.
You are welcome to demo my 8'0" if ya keen
Thanks Dean meet you at Torquay this w/end or catch you at the next comp. bring the 8'4" just in case (I've packed on some more hhhhmmmm muscle)
The 8'8" is the best short board SUP I have surfed, by a country mile. I've had quite a few over the past 3 years, all big brand named, & they pale to insignificance, compared to the WoW. It transitions super smoothly with no stall characteristics whatsoever, wherever on the wave face. For a stock board, it has the goods. Who ever designed it, they certainly know their stuff.
Great price, great brand support, & good guys to deal with.

There's 3 sizes in the range:
8'0" x 28" 100L
8'4" x 28" 106L
8'8" x 28" 115L
Hey Jradedm'
Its 8'8" x 28.5". 114lt (written on the box & the board)....
I'm 52 old & 83 kegs with a bung knee & 3 fused lumbar vertebra. (same as most of the 'crew'). I SUPaddle anything from 14'x26.5 to 8'6x28.5 daily, offshore, shoreline & inshore (off to have a 17'er experience in July). Have had many good boards and a few bad boards in my time. This is an absolute Gem. I rode the 8'0" & it balanced me easily. It was also the closest thing to 'true' (short board) surfing I have ever experienced. I went with the 8'8" just to keep my feet a bit more dry (in other words - I don't know why, maybe an age & longevity thing), the difference in performance (to the 8'0) was negligible.
