Hey Suppers,

I am now the proud owner of a 2010 9'5 Naish Mana after a mate gave me a ride while out surfing about 2 weeks ago......instantly hooked.....bought it off him the following week.

The paddle is a Naish, carbon fiber shaft with fiber glass blade.
I have heard 2 theories regarding the length to cut the paddle;
- 6" above the top of head
or
- eye level where the blade begins to spread (as per DJ's article www.seabreeze.com.au/Articles/Stand%20Up%20Paddle/Cutting-your-Stand-Up-Paddle-to-the-right-size_2528297.aspx)

I'm 5'10, 75kg's and will mostly be using the SUP for surfing.....1'-4' ish waves.

Cheers,

Great board and paddle.. Congrats.. I'd cut it about 8" over and maybe go an inch or so shorter down the track.. You can always cut more off but you can't add more on.. I think about 8" over should be fine.. You can just tape the handle on till you're happy then glue it.

like dj suggests i would cut it a longer than you want it and try it out for a while, and just tape the handle, it's better to not've cut it enough than to have cut it to much
