What would be the effect if I removed the 2 side fins on my Nalu? Would it turn a bit better?

I am using it only for surfing.... if I was to take out the side fins, should I run a larger big fin?

cheers,

Adam

How big is your Nalu?

I've got a single-fin 11'6" Nalu & would like it to be a tri. It might be a "grass is greener" thing?

I tried my old 10'6" Nalu as a single fin and went ok but worked better with smaller side fins.
I tried my old 11'4" Nalu as a single fin and it went ok because the center fin was so large.
I tried my new 10'6".5 Nalu as a single fin but didn't like it because it lost its drive through the turns and felt a bit drifty because the center fin isn't that big.. Maybe with a bigger center fin it will work better.. If you want better turning you might want to try slightly larger side fans and a slightly smaller center fin.

If you can on the Nalu, how about moving the centre fin forward a little?

+1

Recently did this to a large board (> 10') and it made a huge difference. Can now carve much tighter and get more speed out of turns. I used the FCS HI-1 set.
