Rider: weight 105kg Height:6'5"
Level: Beginner/Intermediate
Weather: No wind, 1-2' waves, riding the Merimbula Bar

Board dimensions are 10'6" x 30" x 4 3/8" and 158 litres

Boards more aimed at wave riding that flat water paddling, having said that it did the paddle to the bar no problems from the Mambo event centre (think it's just under a km). The board I demo'd had a 6" centre fin in it which was a little on the small size for me I'd put a 8" or 9" centre fin in it.

On the wave it was a really fun board to ride, it was much more responsive that some of the other boards I demo'd. It didn't require a huge amount of foot work to get it turning, and even without going all the way back or using the paddle it seemed to do fairly tight turns (but that could have just been me).

At 10'6" it seemed to have a reasonable about of glide to it and was easy to catch waves with it.

Somethings that got me, probably more because I'm seasoned SUP'er is:

-There's seems to be a little less volume/surface area in the nose with it not being as rounded as some of the other brands in that size range I tried. So I found every once in a while I'd be digging the nose in - which is probably an experience thing.

-Was a bit hard to keep it tracking straight while paddling - this is probably due to my in-experience and would probably be remedied with a larger fin (spec sheet say's it comes with a 9" not the 6" tested with)

Having said all this - this wasn't a finished production board, the walkonwater guys at Mambo were saying that the mould plugs where going to be shaped some time in Feb so there might still be some minor tweaks/changes but he did say that this board was 99.9% finished.

I don't have a negetave somment about this board I really enjoyed my surf on it. You can probably take what I've said with a grain of salt as I'm not the most experienced SUP'er here.

Hi Crazy,
Was that the 10-6 swallow or 10-6 round tail. There are two models in that length.
