Hi I'm new to SUP. First time today and I loved it, even managed to stay up for most of the time. I'd like to get into it more before I go ahead and get my own board. Can anyone recommend a good club or shop in Perth to go to to try out a few boards and get a few lessons out in the surf? Also any suggestion on a board. I'm a lightweight 40kg and petite

Jenkz posted the following when I posed a similar question recently:
"Call Darren at Standup paddle Perth in Scarborough. He runs beginner classes on the river and has different types of boards to try"

I am also very new to SUP - bought a board a week ago.

If you are in the neighbourhood you may want to try Longboards Scarborough. Main Naish dealers in town and have recently got some of the Bic package deals which are well worth considering. NSP are always popular too.

AKS in Scarbs is great and SUP Addiction in Myaree is another good one (where I've gone for a few boards now).

There are a lot of great shops now in Perth - its just a matter of visiting a few and seeing how you go. If you dont klick with them or want a different board you try another one. Good luck and see you out there!
