Have just returned from the Maldives with the C4 crew and was fortunate to try many of their new products and one of them was the performance paddle fin. There is no doubt these guys are the ones who are leading the progression of high performance SUP surfing to even think of engineering something like this.
At first I was unsure about this contraption but one night Todd.B stuck one on my paddle and the next day I was laying down turns like below.
To keep the copycats away all I'm going to reveal is that they are in production now and will fit any make of paddle.

Keep watching c4waterman.com for their availability.

I remember Ben Lexcen kept the winged keel under wraps for the Australia II in 1983 and won the American Cup. I think C4 make great boards - I want to see the paddle fin!

I'm looking forward to seeing this new C4 gizmo.

Does it add much weight to the paddle because adding weight to the blade end is increased when you swing he paddle from side to side.

It's sorta like unsprung weight on a wheel..and less is better.

I have seen paddle fins before...are they anything like this..or is it just one fin in the center of the blade?
