I've been SUPing for a few years on a 12'1 Laird that can do everything from surfing to fishing and downwinding alright but nothing great. So I'm keen to get myself on a Surf specific SUP. I've whittled the options down to the PSH 9'3 or 9'6wide rippers.
I change my mind on a daily basis on which one to get. I've demo'd em a while ago, but just can't comitt.
Can anyone offer up anything to help me make up my mind??

I'm 92kgs and 5'11 and had the 9'6 Wide Ripper and loved it.

I downsized to the 8'9 WR and the shape is pretty similar only shorter.

I surfed it in Bali last year at 6 ft Ulluwatu and the board went insane.

The 9'2 WR is a very nice option also to consider. That would be my choice for you as it still has that extra length and glide and is still fairly short.

These boards surf unreal so demo if you can.

Talk to Andrew Allen (AA) he might know how to help you out.

Thanks for the input guys, You've just given me the nudge in the 9'3 direction that I needed. Decision made... I think...?!

hey there bro, i got the 9'6 wr and looove it...i'm 80 kg and 6'2 or 3....and these boards are the bomb....i'm on the west coast of sa.....similar reefy punchy stuff to u guys...and its great....i wanna get a 9'2 and keep the 9'6 too coz we get that dreaded deserty wind chop and backwash and i find the 9'6 handles the wind and chop pretty well....i have been riding it with sunny garcia fins allround with a box adapter in the back so this is possible and it is amazing...i have a bigger fin to put in the back but havent needed to yet and have surfed it like this upto about 4 ft.... either choice would be great....but they do get a lil tricky in that super wind/backwashy stuff...but i guess u get used to it too if u bleed on!
good luck....but psh all the way!
peace

Thanx Gregos,
Ive seen that fin converter set-up and will definately give it a go with the larger Sunny's. We nearly always have some sort of wind over here in WA. So I'm thinkin its a bit of a case of biting off more than you can chew with the 9'3, and then just chew like h ell.
Who knows all that wobbling about and I might start hovering closer to 80 than 90 anyways.
Well my Minister of Finance has approved the purchase( ) so I'll be able to give you a run down of how I went in acouple of weeks.
