Am in the process of doing demos on many boards to find one to hopefully be a one board quiver. In a previous post I was given some good advice (hence lotsa demos) and steered toward 10' 6 Nalu or similar. I am still undecided and think something longer may suit better and the PSH 12'6 has caught my eye, however as a beginner I'm cautious about it being 29" wide and maybe a bit tippy for a beginner in the ocean. I'm looking for a board to paddle in the ocean off the beach mainly for exercise but with a few waves thrown in on a quiet bank before heading back. In videos on line this board seems to surf and paddle ok for what I have in mind - I will need to travel to see one in person though and would appreciate any feedback from those who have owned or ridden one - I've found from demos that an inch wider does not necessarily mean more stable (and also that what you think about a board may not be even close to how it goes).
BTW I am about 6'2 and 94kg, reasonably fit and ride a longboard when there's waves.

Ive been wanting a PSH 12'6 hull paddler for quite a while now and found one for sale here in the buy and sell section.
I snapped it up and I am now the proud owner.
It only arrived a few days ago and I have only had it out for a flat water paddle once.
I found it a little less stable than my other sup, but my other one is one I built myself a few years ago.
I built it 11'6 x 29.5 x 4.5 (I think) flat bottom, full rails and its F#%*ing heavy.
Nice and stable to learn on which was my intension.
Over time I was quite comfortable on it and was regularly surfing knee to waist high waves on it (until I moved to Nth QLD)
The 12'6 PSH as I said I a little less stable than what Im used to but after half hr, I had it sorted. it glides sooo well and is easier to manouver.
I haven't surfed any waves as yet but when I do, I'' let you know how it goes.
Wave are very few and far between here in Nth QLD but I do know a spot that gets some nice long knee to waist high point break waves.
Better in cyclone season too.

Gday Fleagle , had one for 9months found it lots of fun on the waves for surfing and ocean paddling , not racing just cruising , easy to turn off the tail , and catches waves a breeze with no nose dive - unlike racer boards which take a while to get used to in the waves , they do feel a fraction unstabe at first due to the chimed rail , but on the waves this becomes a great positive for manouvres for a big board .great allround ocean /surf sup . There is one for sale down Caloundra Sup Centre i noticed the other day . Enjoy the ride.

Thanks for those thoughts Green Menace which are pretty encouraging. AA tks for that also - I'm a bit far away for a demo unfortunately (nnsw) but will try to find one to try closer to home. Appreciate your responses guys.
