Just recently purchased a new what I thought was a 10'6 extra wide ripper but after my first paddle at suffers paradise on weekend found it to be a lot less stable than the board I test rode a month ago. On a closer inspection tonight I realized it is a 10'6 extra wide gun . Can any one explain the dimensions of the two . Website says they are the same . Does not make sense to me.
10-6 Gun Ripper.
10' 6" x 28 1/2" x 4 5/16" Volume=140L
10-6 Ripper X-Wide

10-11 Gun Ripper X-Wide
10'11” x 32” x 4 5/8”
frosty, my understanding is they do a 10'6 x - wide ripper gun board as well. It is 32 wide same as the standard x - wide ripper but has a narrow entry on the shoulder and narrower tail. when i bought my 10'6 x - wide ripper i had it alongside the gun in the shop and the shape is quite diferent.
There are only two Wood Veneer models in 10'6 as SW'ly has listed.

Frosty maybe you tried the old 10'11 XWRipper?
10-11 X-Wide - 10'11" x 32" x 4 5/8"
The 10'6 Gun is a rare board. We had one in store- which Farquo mentioned but it is 28 1'2 wide (Towny snapped it up) and a very different board to the 10'6 XWR
I ordered a extra wide ripper and the bottom of my board says 10'6 extra wide gun ripper .is it the same board . According to farquo it is a little bit narrower in the tail which would make it a little less stable an less volume. Is this correct
