Hi guys. I have just started SUP and am loving all my time on the water. I bought a Guy Leach pro series board from Anaconda. I am ready to look at new boards ( as my wife likes the old one) I am 95 kgs and most of my paddling will be done on a lake or very small surf. Can someone give me some tips on what I should look for?

Naish Mana 10' or Naish Nalu 11' would work for you.

Totally concur, the 10 foot mana is the board.

95kgs thats not a heavy weight,
the mana is a great board, but for mostly paddling and small surfing, would go the nalu, just try and demo them both and see what you like.what ever you get just have some fun mate

I agree Jarryd, for mainly lake and a little bit of small surf length is kind if nice. Naish, Starboard, Fanatic do some great boards around the 11' mark. Glide is good.

Neil, the Hull AA paddlers are also worth a look in-

The new Hull design increases glide on both flat water and on waves.

Further to my mention of the Mana and Nalu, I recently picked the PSH Hull Paddler 10'10" from Santa. I have used it 3 times on flat water as surf conditions in Sydney have been ordinary. The glide on flat water is incredible and seems to glide well above it's length. For your weight I would go the next size down which is the 10'2". The Hull Paddlers are classed as an all rounder Sup which I find very convenient. I am heading up the coast on family holiday tomorrow and it's great to take 1 Sup to do both surfing on and flatwater paddling. With the Hull Paddler, you have got both covered.

The new Cabrinha 10.2 c-series is a better paddler/a better surfer/ better looking and I think better priced than the mana. My mate has been surfing the 9.8 and he's low 90s and thats very stable for him - so the10.2 will give you heaps more glide and even more stability.

I agree with scotty88, the nalu 11 should work really well. i am 10kg heavier than you and my nalu 11 6 is perfect for lakes and small surf. i also tried the mana 10 which was a bit more nimble than the nalu but didn't seem to glide as well.

This is the board for you! At your weight Demo the 9'7" and I vouch you wont be disappointed. They fly on the flat and surf better than many surf dedicated boards particularly in up up to head high surf.

Settled on th 10 mana today. Tried the hull paddler 10.2 also an awesome board. The weight was the deciding factor also a great looking board. Had to thank Maggs for all his help and demo board.
Cheers

Congrats.. I paddle every day and most of the time it's on my 10' Mana.. I love mine.

If you want to paddle longer distances it's worth changing the center fin to something slightly bigger (8.5"-9.5").

Did you buy new.. and is it the wood or the AST?

Got a new one from Cutloose surf here in Adelaide and got the yellow one. As soon as I can work out how to put a pic on here I will show it off. Also got a quick paddle to go with.
Thanks for your advice.
