Needs more Mistral logos on it..

I remember a few years ago they had a board out we got to see ali ittle bit of on the breeze .
Thinking back now its shape then was ahead of time .
Didnt their boards win the last 12 cities.

Wouldnt surprise me if there ocean board was a bench mark type of board

Yep, I still own a beach towel I bought in Hawaii in 1992 with the image of Robby Naish on it riding a Mistal board and Gaastra sail.

Back in those days, only Bjorn was better than Robby (maybe Anders was close too)

It's a shame they've gone for the buggered carbon look. Sorry, I mean "brushed carbon".

I guess it means you don't have to bother with doing a good paint job, and all those logos should help cover up manufacturing imperfections too.

Steeve did well in the 11 cities on a Mistral. But I think I heard that in the recent Paris Crossing race he fell so many times he nearly got hypothermic, and so was further back than anyone expected. So maybe the design isn't the most stable available?

So many times I see people lose races because of falls. You gotta ask yourself if you wouldn't be faster in the real world on a more stable board. The difference in theoretical speed between two boards that are identical except for being 1" different in width is negligible, but the difference in stability can be substantial.

im looking at the ocean board thinking it looks good- for here. a skinny nose board like the second in my mind is always going to be a handful in that kinda of race.

lots of side stuff to deal with.

and probably doesn't wash ride that well

I suggest a board where you need to be in front
