Thought there might be some interest in this new Custom designed Luke Short Fibre Flex board that just arrived at the shop today.
Dimensions are: 8'8" x 30 7/8" x 4 5/8"

Love the look of it. Have been thinking of going shorter that the 10' Icon, especially for a travelling SUP and really like the look of the LSD boards. Being around the 100kg mark though the volume is just on the limit but the width of the board would give that stability. Do you know if anyone has surfed one yet or any reviews?? (sorry if someone already has but I didn't troll through the 1000 board review posts)

I've ridden the board twice in fairly ordinary surf. My first impression was the board was as stable as the 8'6” Like Short Flash. The board seems to not be as buoyant and therefore is a bit harder to paddle but not much in it, basically you just need to work a bit harder to get waves. Surfing this board is where it performs, Luke has refined the board so the rails are a bit finer and allows the board to grab the wave early and get going quickly. The speed of the board is great and therefore it seems you can do more with the board on the wave. My first impressions: I'm wrapped, I've never spent this much money on a board before but I've never had so much fun on a Stand Up before, I can't wait to surf it in some decent waves.
