Picked up today. Unfortunately no surf but had a paddle in the creek. Very stable. Can't wait for a wave!

Got a wave this morning and was surprised how responsive the board is although I really hoped that that's how it would be. Its a big board but good for me at nearly 65 and would be good for someone large as well.Had a go on the 9.3 at the demo this morning and was impressed at the stability too.

Run the tape over your boards. I have heard of a brand spanker 9'6 being 9'3 long.

PGC (Shaun) Photographer extrordinaire and father of our 14 year old prodigy James swears by his. Apparently they have great stability for a really surf oriented board. I've got say this year in particular is going to be the hardest ever to choose a board! I've narrowed it downto about 5000 options. Seriously there are about 10 performance surfing sups that look sweet. THe Mana's 8'10" and 8'5" The Fanatics Allwave 8'11" and 8'6" almost unrecognisable with their Tucked in noses! The 9'0 and 8'8" JP Wide body's, I can't believe how light they are!!! Then my mate Mate turned me on to the 'Noosa Surf works' web site and instantly fell in love with at least six shapes excluding the Boardworks options. I have no doubt that TSJ and DTM are the SUP surfboard kings and DC is the Downwind/ race and surf. SUP design has made quantum leaps in OZ and then in USA you've got Bill Foote, L41 (Simsup), Blane at PSH as always. It really allows some average guys like me to punch above their not inconsiderable weight. Have fun on the Prowave and please do a review with photo's if possible to help ditherers like mysellf make up their mind!!
Cheers and thanks for the post !

I'm 5'7 and the board is definitely 9'6. Forgot to pull the tummy in.
No decent surf as yet so can't say how it handles. I'm not a jockey , I'm just short for my height.

Hey rock magnet

Caught any waves yet? Interested to hear how it handles paddling out and then catching the waves :-)

Thanks for asking. It's certainly different to anything else I've ridden .I am getting onto waves easier, the board is super fast and very manoeuvrable .Had some great waves on it. It responds with just a touch of the paddle or body shift.
I'm making sections that would have cleaned me up before. It's harder work in windy choppy conditions but flies once on the wave.
It's an expensive board so I'm not to keen to get too close to the rocks.(Rockmagnet) HaHa
