Hey gang.
Toying with the idea of adding a 9'5" Hokua to the quiver.
Own a 9'5" widepoint & waiting on delivery of an 11'2" Blend. The Hokua looks fast & loose, just a bit worried that it may be a little small for me (6'2" 100k)Gotta keep it on the down low. If the missus finds out I'm contemplating ANOTHER board I may end up homeless.
Any thoughts people?

Hi Zeusman, I am the same weight and height as you I demoed the 9'5” Hokua and the 9'5”WP back to back before going with the WP as my one board quiver but the Hokua is a very nice board, the main reason I went with the WP is stability I am a weekend only paddler and so I would rather spend the time having fun with what waves where on offer than trying just to keep my balance and falling off trying to catch waves.
IMO the Hokua is faster onto the wave and it surfs really well, but with the flatter nose rocker it tended to nose dive very easy if you weren't quick enough on getting back
But you won't be disappointed if you have the time and more ability than me.

Thanx Windup
I get out there roughly 4 times a week. Conditions permitting. I'm having no probs with my WP & now the Hokua seems to be calling me. Just always loved the look of that board. Find myself on their website often. I think a demo is probably the only way to settle it. Where did you demo it? I'm in Bondi & dont know anybody close by that I can get one from.

normally I'm a Naish fan, but try out the JP range. I've now got the 8'6 and at 75kg it could be a one only board. White water is so easy on this board. I was looking at the hokua 8'?.

They do a bigger size for 100kg. I love naish products but these new JP SUp are really special. you also get a single front foot strap just for JP character.
