9'5 is sweet but just a little small for me at times if choppy this would have been perfect... Next yr maybe...

Looks awesome.. I might have to sell my 9.0 Hokua and get myself something that doesn't require glass for me to balance on it.. How wide is it?

Rocker looks kinda flat in the pic. Is the deck concave?

Anyone know what GT means in the name?

Does it say who the shaper was on the bottom?

Apparently Naish are going away from the words 'wood' and 'AST' and these new letters will be what the constuction is..

There will be GT=Carbon/Wood.. GS=AST.. GX=Carbon.. MC=HollowCarbon and LE=Limited Edition.

Harold is the shaper of the new 9'10" Hokua and we will see his name on most Naish boards for the next year because they have a lot of his shapes still coming.. Maybe tweaked Iggy shapes.

This new 9'10" is much more thinned out and supposed to be a high performance big-boys board.. I can't wait to try one.

Looks like they have a better deck pad on this one as well, mines (9'5") already falling apart after 3 months use!

Hey Dj, I paddled this new 9'10 recently and reckon the ideal weight range would be 85kg-105kg. It's very stable for it's size and kick turns really well. Luke

Hi Zeusman,

The deck where you stand actually has a slight double concave not single concave.

Got a stack of customers demoing the board this morning so will give some feedback after that.

The rocker looks really good to me.. Love how the board is thinned out.. I'd rather a slightly bigger board thinned out than a short one that's puffed up..

Naish were not the only boards/brands effected by that deck pad issue and they have now changed them.

Cool. Look forward to the feedback.
Really liking the look of this board. When will they be available & do you have a price yet?

Price is $1799 and it's available now.

Feedback from the first paddler was a nice increase in stability over the 9'5" that he already owns. I wasn't so sure it would be as when you look at it the rails are finer and it's not that much wider. Anyway, good news for guys looking for a more stable 9'5".

Just noticed the black tip's missing from the nose.. Great.. I guess it could be added after the first nose ding if you can't match the yellow ..

You mean they will produce surf boards (not just glide ones) in Carbon, kinda BC of Starboard?

Not sure?.. I think the GX will be for the carbon race boards like the current Jav.

Naish 9'10" x 30.25" x 4.25" x 155L. Looks sweet!
It would be great to test this board beside the PSH 9'11 Ripper
Very similar dimensions:
PSH 9'11" x 31" x 4 3/8" Vol = 140L

I'd love to see a side by side review of both boards.

What's up with Naish and measuring volumes?
How can a shorter, narrower and thinner board of the two, have 15 more liters of volume?

I would have thought the PSH would be the one slightly off beciase of Naish's work on the windsurfing side of the house. Anyway, both boards sound great.

Did find some comments on the Naish. One person said they thought the nose rocker entry was a little flat and the board was a little too wide once on the wave. Otherwise, great board, and stable in choppy windy conditions.
