First thing is i do own a shop that sells naish so take this review how eva you like.

Conditions: 2 foot currumbin alley a little bit messy

first thing when you pull this board out if the bag is you notice how much rocker it has and the nice pulled in nose the board looks and feel super nice. The grip looks great a first but it dose not really fit the board and takes a bit of work to put it all on and i wish they would put a tail kick pad on there grips the graphics don't line up either which you don't notice at first glance but once on it feels good thinner than the old grip and without the raised edges but still nice.

ON THE WATER:
Jumped straight on and paddled out you really notice the rocker as you go over waves as the board just glides up and over there is no pushing the nose of the board through the wave it just pushes up and over the wave every time. The board is nice and stable if you stand id the right spot it is 29 ich wide but only in one very small area it paddle about as quick and easy as the 9'6 and picked up waves about the same as well but that where the similarities end the 9'3 is in no way a smaller version of the 9'6 the 9'3 is a small board SUP. On the wave you have to stand right on the tail and the board comes alive probably some of the best turns I've done on a sup where on the first wave i caught and this was on a day when the wave were less than average.

To me this board has got a the best feel about it i have riddin a few small SUP's over my time and this is the first that i have jelled with straight away and finally some one has put the right amount of rocker in a board as when i look around at the other small sup the just seem to be smaller kind of Mals. I did swap with Martys 9'6 out there and one is definitely a fish feeling board and the other is a short board sup

Good points: Naish build and quality is as high on this as all there boards.
made for surfing.
looks SICK
Nice and stable if in the right spot
bad: The grip (although once on is a gem under the feet)

Can't wait to get this board in 3 to 4 foot clean sucky waves.

Mate I'm 75kg and the board is very stable and JB is 90kg ish and he said it is fine for him so anywhere between that weight i guess would be a good start.

Great review Jacko. Thanks.

From looking at the photos, I thought it'd be way too unstable for me to paddle around and wait out the back on. From the reviews, it doesn't sound like it.

Can't wait to find somebody in Sydney to lend me one for a few hours so I can try it out myself. I can only imagine how unreal it would feel if I could get it on a decent wall.
