Dear All,
I would like to share an impression being m1,90 tall and weigh 100+Kg.
My first board is a Mana 10'0 Gs 2011 which I use mostly on extremely choppy italian waves.
The board is perfect as far as stability is concerned and the construction is also very tough. I find it a bit slow to turn.
Thus I bought a much smaller french Sup from Gong. It's a 9'1 140litres. It turns on a dime and is super fast (The ordering procedure is on-line, but they really do an excellent job).
But I keep using preferably the Mana since I can stand much easier and worry less about falling down continuously.
What am I doing wrong? Not only, if I had to buy a new board, I would probably choose the Mana again... and not go for a shorter board.
Thank you for the advice.

MT... you should try to demo the new 9'5 Mana... it turns much better than the previous Mana design and retains good stability.

Or try the 9'2 Allwave... it will be about as stable as your 10'0 Mana, but turn much better. The Allwave is also less expensive and tougher. I have owned a 2013 and 2014 9'5 Mana and 4 different Allwaves.

I'm about your height and wright.. I've had a couple of 10' Mana 's over the years and loved that board.. I'm now on the new shape 9'5" Mana (it's about 165 ltrs) and I love it so much better than the old 10' Mana.. It's almost the same in stability but much faster and turns so much better.

I would struggle on that 9'1" Gong at only 140 ltrs .. I also have the 9'1"x32" Hokua and thats about my limit.. It's about 150ltrs.

I can see why you keep going back to your Mana.. .. I don't think you're doing anything wrong.

Also the older Mana came with a very large centre fin. I would say look at experimenting with 6.5" or smaller and see how it goes.

I've a similar dilemma. I don't know if I should buy the manu 10" or the mistral 9.3

Hey DJ do you have a vid of your 10" on the ocean?( I know I've seen it before)just to see how it properly floats.

Another option if you want to loosen up the 10' Mana is to take the center fin off and go twin fin. I was having a hard to turning until I got rid of the center fin all together. I am 83Kg 6' and have a hard time turning the 10 footer, so i just hook up a deal to get a 2014 8'11" Allwave and can't wait to give it a go. I demoed the 8'11" on flat water and I was able to walk all over it with out tipping. The 10' Mana is a very smooth board on the waves and really stable. Therefor I will keep both for a while as I continue on my journey to find the golden board.

Morning all; Had a 10' Mana and prior to selling for a 9'5" 2015 Mana had it set up with Shapers SKS5 side fins and a 6.5 Matthew
Moir centre fin. In this set up the board turned extremely well.
