hi guys , I can't decide between the fusion 10' 2 or starboard 10'5 for an all rounder in small surf and flat water paddleling Any views would be great

Fusion....the wide point is a surf machine with more rocker so not as good for the flat paddling you are after.

Fusion more likely to be the compromise you are after.

So not the Widepoint! I have one and it really is a dog on the flat. I'll be going full out to catch my Mrs on her Nut 10.5 and she'll just gently paddle off into the sunset. The Nut is great all round as it happens...

The widey does rock in the surf though.

Hi,
So did you go for the 10'2 fusion? Would be intersted to hear, thinking about getting one very soon. Im 75kg and total beginner in the surf but keen to spend as much time in the sea as I do the rivers here in. Also been thing about the starboard whopper but expect that is slower.

At 75kg the 10'2 is alot of board. My first board was the 10'2 and I was 95kg and found it too big after awhile. I think something around the 9 mark would suit you alot better.
