Hi Breezers,
am in the process of upgrading from the fins that were standard on my 9'6 coreban ,am looking at the Jackson Close
2+1 set up from shapers, has anyone tried them? how do they compare to the Jamie Mitchells.
cheers.

I there. I have been using Jackson's fins for nearly 2 years now on my 8'6" Laguna Bay surftech and love them. I haven't used Jamie's fins as I have FCS plugs but I think Jamie's centre fin is slightly larger than the sides (Could be wrong). Jackson's centre is slightly smaller and it feels really good. Has lots of drive but I can't comment on how well they release off the top (Lack of ability).

I second what jaydub says, .......I like em on my 9' 5" Hokua

The smaller centre fin makes it slightly less stable on the Hokua from my experience when it gets a bit rough BTW.

I use the centre on my jp surf 9'6 but after trying the close sides I went back to the oem m5 sides - great loose combo. On the jp I think the softer m5s are better given the lack of toe in (don't mention the war).
