Has anyone experenced an ICON's deck indenting when on their knees?
I've riden my 3 times and have found that the deck has a couple of 2-5mm or so dings next to the handle where my knees would rest? I spent a total of 10 paddle stokes on them and this is what's happened. Not happy...
I bought this board thinking it was strong through the standing zone...I hope i'm wrong and it's just a fault with the board and Coreban will replace it.

Suggest you take it up with your retailer or coreban australia - they will be more than helpful and will give you a lot more realistic information than asking for advice on here.

Billboard, I was under the impression that this was a board talk forum and i;m asking advise not bagging a very impressive piece of kit.

I'm waiting to hear from Coreban. Just throwing it out there....

I only have the usual foot imprints on my Icon - they took a bit of time to imprint though. Did you cause the dents or could they have been there before you bought the board and you never noticed?
You shouldn't get those dings so easily but from what I've seen on the forum Coreban have excellent customer service and will sort things out for you when you hear back from them.

Or...................... you could always stand up and stay off your knees!!!

Which Icon do you have, Pulv? Just picked up a new Icon in the Pure construction (for my wife, but I was hoping to get some use out of it too...) YESTERDAY! and this post has got me a bit concerned.

Please keep us posted.

I have a Icon in the core range (colour), have had it about a Year, may have small indentations on it, as to be expected. I am looking to use a Icon Pure as one of my new boards, but not as a demo, I believe the Pure range is for people looking for a slightly more performance board over the Core range, as it is lighter. As all things there is a trade off. The Core range will cop a hiding as the Pure may but the pure will show it.

From The Coreban site
PURE
White, light and Hi Performance boards. Coreban have taken their best sellers and created an elite range of visible wood boards with an added touch of elegance. EPS Vacuumed. Sandwich construction with a fresh and natural look without compromising quality and performance. The Coreban Pure Series is designed for riders that are wanting a lighter board while still maintaing beauty and strength
CORE
The Core Range are top of the line Sandwiched, Vacuumed EPS core boards using 20g EPS foam for added strength and longevity. All Core Range boards have reinforced standing areas, reinforced rails, nose and tail. Designed and tested in Hawaii by riders for riders that are wanting to push the limits and own a board that will stand the test of time.

I trialled an icon for the weekend about 12 months ago and after less than 8 hours had 2 large foot indentations. Haven't bothered with the brand since!

My loss I'm sure someone will say as the boards do look good but i've moved on.

Spoke to Corebane and received a fantastic response.

I've been told that their customer service was A1 and to exprence it was really impressive.
They have helped out with the board and I would still be recommending them over many other brands.
There was a reason I choose a Coreban, not just for the build quality.

Lets hope things move up from here...

Hey Pulv,
glad to hear things worked out well with the ICON. Good on Coreban for backing up an awesome board with great customer service as well (Not affiliated with them other than owning an Icon that I fully paid for).
Enjoy the Icon mate, it is an awesome board.

So what did they do for you? (so I know what to expect, in case I have issues...)

I just got an Icon Pure a bit over a week ago and have had it in the surf three times already and there are no issues so I'd say this might just be a one off. I wouldn't get too worried.
