If you've got one, tell me how it compares to what you rode before or others you've ridden recently.
My dilemma is this, I'm surfing the 7'8 Hokua and since getting that board, everything else I've tried is boring. But the 7'8 is for beach break style waves, so when it's high tide mush and small, it's not ideal.
I'm looking for something to supplement my 7'8 and complete my quiver. But not something boring.
Would the 9'0 Hokua be a good companion to the 7'8? Anyone surfed the 7'8 and 9'0?
I wonder if Kalama's high performance longboard SUP, the 9'6 Nalu, would compliment the 7'8 for those mushy wave days.

Thanks Rosscoe.
Beautiful waves and surfing.
It's a good year if we see a wave like that just once. Our surf is poor compared to yours.
What board did you surf before you got the 9'0?

I still have it - a DC 9' 4, which my son has started to use. It is a good board, but when I had it made I wanted something that I could also paddle on flat water, so it has more volume than the hokua.

I have both boards.
Totally different. The 7-8 is a slabby fish type the 9-0 is a semi gun feel.
I really like both. Apparently the 8-5 is pretty awesome too..
Wont go wrong with the 9-0 but for bigger waves where you want control and more paddle speed.

How stable is the 9'0 compared to hokua 9'6? Will the 9'0 be ok in choppy conditions?
