My girlfriend is going to Oahu for "work" and is chasing a board, she is after a light weight board under 9.0ft and 120litres
She has a free day in Waikiki and is wondering if there is any nearby board stores?
Any suggestions ??

Blue planet sup. Robert is great and has heaps of boards to rent or buy. He delivers and picks up to your hotel for a small extra fee too.

Hey Blair,
Blue Planet is a great shop but is a long way from Waikiki you would need a car or as Katieh said use Roberts pickup. There is a great little shop in Koa Avenue, one block back from Kalakaua. I can't remember the name. Its easy to find. They have some great longboard stuff plus sup.Is she wanting to hire or buy? This place hires too, but there a heap of rentals on the beach itself, for one day rentals.(not great boards). At the Diamond Head end of Kalakaua there is also Hans Hedemans store. He has good rentals particularly Surftech stuff.Close to some good less crowded waves too! If she wants to buy theres not a lot in Waikiki.Access to a car will get her to Tropical Blends (got a new name which I can't remember) C4, Blue Planet and Surftech all within walking distance of each other.

Thanks Phil
She wants to buy yet we have been having trouble finding a decent priced board at that size so I thought she may as well have a look over there as my mate on Kauai reckons everyone is riding 8ft sups. I just never spent any time down south shore as I'm always there for their winter so cheers for the responses..

I had a look in this shop earlier in the year they had good looking new boards for $600 i was contemplating trying to ship one home, seriously Boards are much cheaper over there even the $400 walmart boards looked ok.
