I also have a similar tail on my favorite 7'3" board, with the same ofo as you (19"), closer to a Slate sci-fi actually, and I like very much the looseness and acceleration.

I would not use such a pulled in nose however. In my experience more width at 1' in front of the center is important for the stability, and a wider nose, with a square or diamond tip is extremely useful in Les Landes with their often hairy takeoffs: the more parallel rail lines make the board stays on its course if you dig the front rail in a heavy late takeoff on a steep face, whereas a pointed nose will often put you off slightly balance, just enough to wipeout hard at the bottom. Plus the wider nose (my ofo is 20.9") allows to put all your weight on a forward rocking movement to penetrate on hollow takeoffs without fear of nosediving ("un depart en bascule").

I would add also a tad of nose kick.

Well, Mo boards are 22" wide, your is 27.5", mine is 29.7"... I think Pro board performance rely more on the overall width than the super-pulled in nose. I'd rather reduce my main width than get back to extremely pointed noses.

Anyways, if you look at pros riding super small boards, Mo or Caio Vaz, they carry the main width in front of the handle, nearly for 2'. I'd advise to do the same, even if you want to keep a pointy nose tip.

The video is impressive, but as always, it has everything to do with the rider rather than the board itself... but the show is worth it by itself...

It can be the same kind of outline between boards but the bottom plan shape are an as much important parameter as you can watch on this kind of Cymatic SUP that I draw. That's board planning area is just a sweet spot in its all board from nose to tail.

Thank you, Jason. Shaping took off my youth time and now designing on software is taking the rest of my life. It's an endless research, it would be better to spend time out. I should stop it.

my project I'm posting about here is doing SUP with a minimum buoyancy and dims.

That is what I am trying to say: you will be able get away with smaller dimensions and 10 liters less volume with an outline like the SMIK twin above than the "Leo board" one... especially when we are not 15 years old anymore :-)

On the opposite, I found that a pulled-in nose allows for more volume (for faster paddling speed) without being too cumbersome in turns as you stay narrow.

Fell love with this one.

I've sold some boards and I'm looking for a new one. And something like this, with a tad more volume for me would be a killer.

I'm now using 98% of the time a 7'6"x28.5" with quite parallel rails and 99 liters, It's comfortable waiting on standing position and surfs very well (for my poor level) but I want to challenge myself a little bit.
