Hi Waxer,

Yes I've paddled the 12ft Ray. Very nice board, very stable and paddles well. What would you like to know about it in particular? We have ridden both sizes in downwind and river applications. If you want a fun family tourer, it's perfect. Faster than a round nose, but slower than a racer. The 12ft especially is very stable with lots of volume, square rails and a wide tail.

Some of our customers use the deck inserts on the bow to tie on mats of carpet squares for dogs. With the volume and stability, a Lab could sit on the front with no stress. Perfect for paddling littl'uns and works for surfing small waves and downwinding.

I think their fun as a great allrounder.

Hey Waxer. Are you going to surf it or just paddle it?
Something else to consider is the naish 12ft HD Hull. This board has a flyer tail and performs well in larger waves. Turning it is a breeze, even cutting back(slowly) is possible. I enjoy riding my Fanatic 12'6" x30, but turning it is a lot harder. Paddling the Fanatic, on the other hand, is great for speed and distance. Drop me a line if you want to try the white rocket.
Cheers PB
