Just seeing if anyone has any info about which fin set up suits these boards best?? Was thinking about changing to quad but worried I'll compromise speed... Any suggestions?

Haven't seen anybody using as a quad but would be interested in the same feedback as I am thinking of ordering from the upcoming shipment.
It's kind of hard to find a shop that does this on the Gold Coast but I know some shops still have the future fins trees so you can try a few sets before you buy. Might be worth checking out. The few shops on the Goldy that had these had a bunch of fins not show back up and never replaced them.

I know Luke Egan rides his as quad, I'll try and find out what he is using.

Changed to the quad setup recently from the stock thruster setup. You won't be disappointed. I find them to be a lot quicker and the board is much looser on the wave.
I'm 70kgs on a 8'5 pro wave.

One of the guys I surf with said the quad set up would cause the board to stall and was much happier with the thruster set up. He also met someone having the same problem.

I use the futures Jamie Mitchell sides and futures Tokoro 4.5" in the back. This is the best set up that I have found, fast and loose when i want it to be. Ran the jamies as a quad, but went back to the thruster set up. imo the stock fins are too large the 8'10 ltd.

Stretch and Simon Quads (Futures) work well over here. Giving the board more squirt...

Thanks for info guys! Think I'll give it a go, worked well on my coreban. My first wave on the pro wave felt a bit stiff and the fins look massive for the design. My friend tried putting futures in his pro wave but for some reason wouldn't fit. Hoping mine will be all good.

Just got hold of a set of FCS Stretch quad fins, been using them in my 11' & 9' boards, can't rate these fins highly enough.

i recently sold a 2012 prowave 8'10 that i kept in Bali. i used thruster for a year but once i changed to quads i never went back. i found the quad gave me extra stability on take off especially when windy and trying to get in the critical first three strokes on a sucky wave. i used the big lopez fronts with the fibreglass psh pivot style rears. that was a great setup until i ripped out the fronts on rocks and lost them. i then used the laird quad set with stiffer base and bit of flex in the tip. i found this gave plenty of spring out of the turns. i will definitely get another set of those GL fronts again one day. i am 76Kg and 5'10. Now using JL stungun 8'7. i swap fins like my undies and currently have X1 twins in the front and a pair of nubsters in the back. it is slidey but OK for here in Darwin. in waves of consequence i use the laird fronts and seaworthy rears. sometimes i add a nubster in the long box.

I put futures Stretch quads in my 2013 8'10 pro. Much faster and looser. I have found the thruster set up gives more control on bigger waves but anything smaller than about head high you will love the quads. I didn't really notice any change in stability one way or the other. My favourite setup at the moment is the stock fins in front (they're bigger than the Stretch) and the Stretch little ones in the back. You're first big turn with this setup you will do a tail slide and go "Wow!" .... or you might fall off. Who knows really.
