Does not seem to be much of a change to bother going to the new 2015 ??
What do the guys at your local sup shop say ![]()
As far as the pro wave goes I don't believe there is any difference between the 9'6" and 9'10" 2014 and 2015 models.
However the other pro waves are a bit shorter, have a slightly fuller nose, different concave bottom, domed deck and thinner rails.
The shaper explains the differences in this vid
I see the ****s of the forum are trolling and red thumb everything try and grow up clowns
Pretty sure you don't need to display your bigotry on the forums Wavesareus. There are plenty of orher adjectives that you can use to express your disatisfaction rather than using words that attempt to demean someone based on their sexual preferences. The forum is about sharing your stoke and experiences about the surf not to air your small petty minded prejudice. Poor form buddy.
Had my 2014 8'10" Prowave on a table beside the 2015 8'9" board yesterday and the change in board shape/design became immediately obvious.
The most obvious change is the much thinner rail design, which should translate into superior performance and down line speed. Very keen to demo one of these.
Totally different board. Get rid of the graphics and you wouldn't even begin to think they were similar!
Here is a review I did on the 7'11
mattllew.blogspot.com/2014/09/2015-fanatic-prowave-711-ltd-test-i.html
yeah they are totally different from 2014. The outline of the board is no more aggressive but the rail thickness and overall thickness profile is thinner. In fact the rails have to be getting within the realms of a pro custom board now.
For 7'6 to 8'9 they increase in width/length/volume by set increments per each size increase.. therefore I would be interested to know if they're all just the same design scaled up/down on CAD software or do different sizes have slightly different attributes.
We have the 8'4" LTD in demo at the moment and I've got to say, I am loving it. It's faster than last years. I think it's more stable than last years. It damn looks sexier than last years, too.
Everyone has mentioned the thinner rail profile, and there's a very, very slight dome in the deck. You don't really notice it when standing on the board. Fuller shape in the nose seems to help with stability.
The main thing I noticed so far is more speed and still easy to blow the tail out on a top turn. I'm using machado futures fins as I find the standard fins too stiff for my kind of riding. However, bigger guys or someone looking for a more drawn out turn would really like the Fanatic thruster setup, me thinks.
Need more sessions to really get the feel of this board but 5stars so far from me.

Good info on the changes... thanks!
We won't see any 2015's for a while, so nice to hear all your thoughts.
settlands.... thanks for the link... great review. I appreciate the in-depth look.
