Hi,
Has anyone had any first hand experience with the fcs spitfire fin? It gets a good wrap from C4 for downwinding.
Sorry, technology failed me - I couldn't download image.

Thanks.

Check with Warwick at RPS.. he was using one for a while.. Pretty sure he liked it.

I'm not a big fan of that shape fin but I've not used it.. What board is it for?

What do you want to get out of the fin?

Better tracking.. Better turning.. Better stability.. or better speed.. ????

You can only pick one..

Hi DJ,
I actually saw the fin at RPS. Warwick wasn't in at the time, I'll follow up with him later.

I'm on a Dart - only used the stock fin so far, but I've tried a few fin positions with some great changes.

You make a good point - being strong in one area will probably compromise something else.

At this stage I'm just researching different styles/sizes of fins, but probably would focus on turning ability.

I saw (on Facebook) that Futures is bringing out a downwind fin this (US) summer. Might be worth having a look at.

Hey Paul,
You are welcome to try my Fcs Spitfire anytime.
Always call to check whether I'm at the store beforehand.
Cheers

I wonder what exactly is a downwinder fin? What makes a fin shape more suitable for downwinding than any other application?

Also, if anyone dares, perhaps fill in the blank for the fin shape that delivers the best for each of these requirements. And you can't list the same shape for multiple requirements (so no saying dolphin shape for everything, DJ )

Better tracking =

Better turning =

Better stability =

Better speed =
