Hi everyone. I'm new to SUP and have had a couple of lessons and hires for play. I'm looking to buy my first board and am deciding between the Fanatic Fly Pure 10' or the Naish Nalu 10'6 - open to other suggestions too. I've tried the Fanatic Fly and found it to be perfectly fine, nice and stable. I can't find a Naish in stock to look at or demo. Everything I read says try a few... Or should I just go for the one I know is fine?
I'm 5'3 and 60kg, mostly wanting to cruise- I have zero surf experience and no local waves, although if a tiny one came my way I'd give it a try.
I don't know much about the Fly but I do know 10'6" Nalu very well and even have one.. and I also know at least half a dozen girls your size that are very happy with their new 10'6" Nalu's.. I'm thinking the Fly is very similar to the Nalu and is an excellent light persons all-rounder board .. I'm sure they'd both be great boards.. ![]()
This is myself and my friend Mark on our 10'6" Nalu's about a week ago.. Awesome boards.
Thanks DJ
it looked pretty easy to pick straight up from flat too. A very nice board.

Plus one. Love mine (2013 model) ... And my wife finds it a very easy-user friendly fun board. ![]()
DJ do you find much difference in riding between the Nalu 2013 model in comparison to 2014 Nalu ?
No.. It's the same shape.. new handle, graphics and deck pad.
