A match made in heaven! Just received a new set up C Drive large quad fins. Took them out yesterday in slop/cleaned up/average surf.
They paddle nicely with good stability which was a test in some confused water. Put them on a wave and bam off they go.
The surf then cleaned up with a nice face to work on and they are a revelation.
Easy to turn acting just like a regular quad set.
I have been using my board with Lopez quads and knubster to about 4 foot of swell.
The main difference in the C drive being that if you need speed to get ahead of a section , set the rail, and they just go. Get back in front and you have an easy to turn board yet drive and hold are there when needed.
Looking forward to some better cleaner bigger sets to work with.
Certainly a set of fins worthy of investigation if you are looking for something different.![]()

Yep C drives are awesome. Got a set of medium quads on an 8'2 and made a huge difference. Just call Troy direct on his mobile. Its on the web site

Yup, contact Troy, he can arrange buying sets that are not listed on the site.
The C-Drive rear quads come in 2 sizes: QS and QM and are ~80/20 foiled
Glad you liked them, it is easy to get addicted to them :-)
Ran as a true Quad, I also purchased a centre fin for bigger days.
Had a second surf last weekend on about 4Ft swell so overhead when they stood up. Not super clean but nice enough.
Grip, trim and ran true, yet turn easily and respond beautifully. Ne regrets and will stick with them!
Will try the Thruster set up on bigger days.
Great job in design that does not mind speed and run on a rail without having to pump.![]()
I also found that a knubster makes a cdrive quad set a whole lot stiffer for the bigger days, though I was on the wrong board for it when i tried it. Worth thinking about one, or a darc drive centre.
