Thumbs Up

Further to my other post today, I'm looking to get a board for (mainly) my wife but also for myself to use. HOWEVER I know it's not going to be used much AND we are on a tight budget so I'm not willing to go overboard.

Budget limit is strictly around $1200 max for board and adjustable paddle.

Looking for a board to be used 90% flatwater, 10% small surf. Looking for something around 10'6" or 11' 31-32 inches wide (I'm 6'3" good surfer, she's 5'9" non surfer)

I've been looking at the Southern Boards and someone else suggested the BIC boards. Any others in that pricerange that anyone can recommend?

I've had a quick look for decent 2nd hand boards but all seem to be above that price, which seems strange. I guess the good/cheap ones get snapped up quick.

I'm based Southern Sydney, so if anyone can also point me in the right direction on the best guys to deal with it would be great. Thanks in advance
