I sold my last one and just had to have another - with a few very minor tweaks. Here are some shots of the first two phases:

1. Machining

what were the minor tweaks casso, your last deep had a beautiful outline and looked pretty good in your video.

A tiny bit wider in the nose, a bit more roll in the rails (top) and a squarer tail. With the reduction of volume in the rails (3 litres) I'm hoping it will carve even better than the last one.

Ha ha. Once we get the carbon strips and decals happening - I'm hoping it will look 'simple elegant'!

Thanks Greg. The shoulder is coming along nicely - a little while away from the surf still but I wanted to get another short SUP now for my flat water rehab (better for balance training than my 14 footer).

Saw this the other in the factory getting ready to be glassed. It looked awesome Casso but way to lean for me to ride. I'm sure you'll be stoked with it. I still don't know how you crew ride boards around the 100 L volume

Yeah, a clean shape. So good to see a custom SUP process. Great to hear that your shoulder recovery is progressing.

This one is only 97 litres! It's not going to be the easiest to paddle (with 85kg trying to sink it) but I can't wait to get it on a good wave.

I just got three standard Futures plugs put in it (not 2 + 1). I'll start with my Simon Anderson Futures thruster set first but might try out the new Rasta bamboo fins which look good.

Three set boxes , Will you run the front fins up the board more and adjust the pivot more / less with back fin sizes ?

I'll just run it like a standard shortboard thruster - all fins the same size. I'll use bigger fins (all round) for bigger waves. The front plugs aren't excessively forward.

Hi,

I know Deep do a great finish but I was wondering with the open weave carbon wrap on the rails and using innegra if the board feels any differnt to surf, or is it just a bit tougher?

They are super tough and very light. They float well so you can go a bit less volume all round. The carbon rails make them quite rigid so you don't get that saggy feeling mid carve = more responsive.

Yeah super strong and super light. I believe it's pretty hard to come by, not sure where the DEEP guys get it.
