I have an opportunity to buy a Amundson 12.6 TR I am an avid surfer and SUP surfer
looking to do some paddling will this board be good, Im not a racer just something different when theres no waves?

Hi Cabo,

I've cut & paste from a similar post yesterday on the Amundson 12'6" TR (below pics are the TR-X2 2013 Carbon/Bamboo model).


The 12'6" - For elite racing this isn't the board but wasn't designed or sold for that market either. It was designed for the average Joe who can only afford to have 1 x 12'6"....therefore has to be a board that performs in flat water, is very stable on downwinders & has more of a surfing feel when in the small waves.


12'6" Weight ;

TR (AST)
2011 & 2012 - 14.5kgs
2013 - Same weight but now has more nose volume, recessed standing to tail area , 4 deck inserts & is 1" thicker.

TR-X (Carbon/Wood) -
2011 & 2012 - 12.7kg's
2013 - Same weight but now has increased nose volume, recessed standing to tail area , 4 deck inserts & is 1" thicker. A couple of pics attached below....
