I'm new here in forum but I have read a lot of good reviews about SUP boards and many information that help me a lot. Recently I bought a 2013 Javelin 14' GX and I really like the board it's very fast but I think it is tippy for ocean races with crosswind and confused water. In my last race here in Brazil I fell down many times and it's a little frustating. In your opinion it's possible increase skill with this board and have good race times with it or definetly it's better buy a new second board.
I checked good reviews about Allstar 14 x 26,5, Falcon 14x27.25 and new 2014 Naish Glide 14x29 but many people consider them as a hybrid flat/ocean boards. What's the best choice considering I have a good flat water board? I'm 1,80m and about 96Kgs. Another question, if i can balance the board could be Javelin 14' Gx faster than a hybrid board as mentioned above in a ocean race?
I have another board - 2012 Starboard race AST 12'6x29.5 - This board is very stable for me but I think it's not very fast.
Thanks a lot for your comments!
