this is what their site say

"Originally a thruster setup but after testing the Stun Gun performs insane as a Kwad. Now all Stun Guns come with a 5 fin option. the rail shape allows placement anywhere on the face of a wave continuing with Jimmy's trademark smooth ride feel.

Sizes 8'2 x 28 3/4 -98 litres, 8'7 x 29 1/4 - 110 litres,

9'2 x 30 1/4 - 126 litres, 9'7 x 31' -136 litres"

& i'm pretty sure they are all under 4" thick

no supa, there were some demo boards around at one stage but none made it down here, i am going to get one just from the photos because they do look so good, there is no way that a board that looks like that wouldn't be great in the surf, i'll let you know what they are like when mine turns up if you can wait that long.

Riverider,
I think that was filmed with the automatic tripod mount (^)... camera electronically follows the surfer. Nice little waves, great scenery, but it was actually really aweful to watch... the camera adjustments were "mechanical"... robot like. I was considering buying one of those devices... I will hold back and wait for further feedback.

(tip to budding photographers and cinematographers, the horizon is your "level" reference point! )

I've really enjoyed some footage from Sparx and Tha Dogman, with a fixed camera on a tripod, zoomed out.

Yeah, I see what you mean about the camera, wouldn't bother with one if they all work like that, still, can't wait till my Stungun turns up !

Looks like it's just very bad camera work to me and probably a dodgy tripod. The Soloshot automatic systems only pan, not tilt as well like in the vid.

Nice looking boards though.

Hello friends,
finally I got the SG 8'7 out in some decent waves up 1/2 time over head... Is an amazing board..
Like an hybrid between a Mano 9'0 and a Kwad 8'7...
Been using it as a thruster with the original Future set up and fins.

The board is stable as the Kwad 8'7, catch waves easy as the kwad, accelerate fast as the Kwad, hold the speed as a Mano, like late drop as the Mano turns very fast and is super loose!!! I really like it...
Gave it a go if you can and if you are in Bali I may let you try mine if you are nice!
Bye Jankie

PS. I'm 70 kilos and Ok SUPer.. I think I could paddle the 8'2 but frankly I like to be in control on the line up instead of having to fight to stand.. Therefore the 8'7 is my perfect match..

I just recently bought a 9'2 Stun Gun and was lucky enough to have two weeks in Bali in glassy overhead conditions to put it to the test.
I have owned a 10'2 and a 9'4 Jimmy Lewis Mano for the last couple of years and that is pretty much all I have used in the waves, except for a few goes on mates boards, so don't have a lot to compare it to.

I found the 10'2 Mano to be a fantastic board but wanted to go a bit smaller so bought the 9'4 x 28 but at over 90kg's I found the 9'4 Mano to be a little unstable in the surgey offshore reefs that I usually surf and so was only using it in clean beachies and using the 10'2 90% of the time.
I had decided that I wanted something around 9' x 30 so when I heard about the JL stun gun at 9'2 x 30 1/4 and 126ltrs I figured that would suit because I was so impressed with the strength and build quality of my two Mano's.

Although 2' shorter than the 9'4 Mano and the same volume it is way more stable (not all that much less stable than the 10'2 Mano) and I think I could have got away with the 8'7 but am happy to have the extra stability for when it gets a bit choppy.
I was mainly hoping to replace the 9'4 mano with this board and thought I might keep the narrower 10'2 Mano for the big stuff that it handles so well but after using the SG in some well and truly overhead waves (some around double OH) I think this board will replace both the Mano's very well and be my one board surf quiver.

It paddles in and catches waves almost as well as the 10'2 (which is awesome) and holds on on steep late drops just as well but is way looser to turn and go from rail to rail.
I must admit the first day or so it did feel a little bit twitchy and skatey but I moved the centre fin right back and it stiffened it up plus also I think I just had to get used to not moving back quite as much as I was on the 10'2.
With the Stun Gun you don't have to move around anywhere near as much to initiate a turn.
I still want to try it out in my normal conditions back to back with the Mano but so far I am very impressed with its performance.
I did take a little bit of gopro video footage that I may post later when I get around to it but unfortunately in the humid conditions over there I found it was fogging up fairly quickly so didn't use it much and didn't capture any of the big days, here is a couple of stills anyway for now.

It is good to see you've worn booties while sup'ing to protect your feet.

If you get caught inside at this spot (which is easy to do when it gets big) you are bloody thankful that you are wearing booties believe me.

Thanks TL i have been waiting for a review on the 9'2" to see how it goes with the 90+ club.
I have surfed the 9'9" mano and liked it alot but normally go for the wider boards.
This might be just the board

Booties are the go for sure.
My observation was tongue in cheek.
Booties on the sup but Indonesian steel caps on the scoot.
Scarey stuff.
