Looking at 2 boards on the Breeze at the mo,both Starboards(keepin it local) first a 10 ft Whopper and 2nd a 10ft 5 Drive....anyone with experience in either?...i know Jenks has a Whopper(snigger snigger) and loves it...board will be used mostly for slow paddles with the kids on the Swan and occasional down the coast runs..and picnic runs down the Moore River at Xmas..Cheers.

Drive is a great board - good glide and surfs nice - and will have better re-sale value down the track to to its reputation as the perfect all-rounder

Hi MattyDee,
For you I would say the Drive is the baby you want... and this is me with a 2011 Whopper which I think is an absolute Cracker... but for me it's fun in waves, for you on the flat Moore River and then on other water I would suggest the Drive is the badboy for you... BUT make sure you have trialed both!

Matty just buy a downwinder board so your missus can keep up with mine. If you want to give the whopper a go give me a call but I dont think it's what you are after. Great board in the surf but.

Hi guy's, i was also looking to change my cruiser type board which is currently a Naish Nalu 11'4" x 30" wide.. I also have a short 9'4" x 30" wide for the bigger conditions. For my cruiser board I was considering either the drive or the Nalu 10'6" x 28" wide, has anyone tried this board? was a bit worried it may be to tippy and unfortunately no demo's of this model to test out before making the big purchase. I will be able to Demo the drive though so atleast I can compare that to my current 11'4"..

FWIW Mrs Cartoon has a 10'6 Nalu (wood) for cruising & JPA. After trying a few she short-listed down to that or the Drive. She reckoned the Nalu offered a bit better glide & the Drive felt a bit "sluggish" to her. Also at 5'2 she preferred the lighter, narrower Nalu for portage.
