Very interested in trying out one of the 2013 Ace14. After reading the very positive reviews of both the 2012 and now the 2013 this board looks to handle more than just flat and choppy conditions. Came across a video of a guy smokin on his new 2013 Ace14 x25. Almost looks like he is fast forwarding the clip as speed looks unreal. .

The link you posted isn't working for me so I can't comment but the 14' Ace is pretty quick in most downwind scenarios so there's every chance it's genuine.

You'll find the Ace faster than the AllStar in almost any conditions. Just depends on the style of downwinding experience you're after as to which board to choose. The All Star is more your typical downwind machine whereas the Ace takes some getting use to but once you understand it, you will be impressed.
If you find the 25 Ace too tippy just go the 27 and she's sooo easy and fast in bumps, chop, anything.

Excellent u tube video of the 2013 Starboard Ace14x25 being used on a downwind run. At the end of the video you get a better idea that it pretty windy. What do you recon the wind strength was and was that pretty much constant over the whole run? With the Gopro style camera the height/depth perception is slightly lost and so it is hard to tell how big the swell/wind blow waves were. What do you recon the height of the waves were? You seemed very comfortable on the board in those conditions. Do you think this board can handle stronger winds and bigger swell/waves? Hope to see more downwind runs.
