not sure how to post a embedded video so here is the link
Nice footwork!
It usually just auto embeds...
We might come back later and out text embeds might become a proper screen embedment.
i'm liking the looks of this board. particularly the nose outline.
a proper dw board.
with out seeing it in real life, i would have liked to have seen a a bit more volume in the tail thickness, but the balance of thickness overall is sweet. paddling side swell and wind should be doable.
looking forward to getting an eyeful of this number from coreban
cheers
ps wish i could do all that fancy footwork like ivan- amazing stuff
Pretty keen to try one of these as well. Apparently there will be some in Australia some time in April.
slightly off topic but has anyone seen/touched/tasted a Jimmy Lewis M14? Broadly similar concept to this board - a 30" wide high-volume 14' DW special.
i would like to see a jl. however i think the potential of the dart nose looks better in a true dw er
pps, we have just had two days of awesome dw conditions
It will be interesting to see what happens when you pierce a nose like that.
I think they are not due here till about April.

Been looking forward to seeing this board, now just want to see it on the water I front of me, I could be wrong in saying this but Ivan looks like he is going for a wider front end tappering to the tail and a similar design to his 12'6.
I've got a Jimmy Lewis M14, just like the one in the pic.
I've also got an Angulo Shaka. The Dart does look much more like the Angulo in the pic, but pics can be deceiving. I will be looking very carefully at the Dart - it could be a great hell weather DW board.
But there are three things about the Dart that particularly stand out as different to me.
The first is the width. The Angulo is a pretty big board by most people's standards, and is 30" wide, similar to the Dart. By contrast, the M14 is actually just 28" wide, not 30" as it might sound like from the earlier post, and looks a fair bit smaller in the flesh, even though it has more volume. And of course the Naish DW boards are narrower again than that (my 17 is 26 3/4" wide). So, by any standards, the Dart is FAT. Should be very stable. (Like the Angulo - which is fantastic when nothing else can cope). But, maybe not too quick in flatter or less epic DW conditions. By contrast, the M14 is a decent flatwater paddler for a DW board, and I find it only about 0.2mph slower than a Dominator in perfectly flat conditions (and often quicker in bad flatwater chop).
The second thing is how much volume the Dart has. 309L? The M14 has 290L and the Angulo just 250L. So the Dart is one chunky board. It's gonna float yer for sure.
The third thing is how light the Dart is. 11.5kg for a 14x30" (almost) DW board? Wow.
I'll be looking at the Dart pretty carefully. It does look more like it might excel in real big and gnarly DW conditions. It's great to see another manufacturer bringing out a proper DW board.
