hi fellars . just bought a swarbrick s20 day sailer and would love to chat to other owners past or present for some advice , comparsons. I supply the beer of course. advice doesnt come cheep. lol. located in mandurah . willing to travel metro area . thanks in advance .
The S20 is not as popular as the S22 - see prior post on the latter here including link to the S22 association over there. Someone in that association could assist. Not a lot of difference between the 2 boats except for the added 2ft length plus slight beam and draft differences, , displacement, rig height etc.

My Parents owned a Spacesailor 20 for many years and you will be surprised to know there was a very active accomodation back in the 1970s/1980s with State Championships held each season. Great little boats, tough as nails and very seaworthy. Many owners of Spacesailor 20s would upgrade to 22s, 27s, S80s and beyond.
They were originally produced in a Fixed Keel and a swing keel version (the latter with a slightly shortened rig. Then later a drop keel version appeared. Any advice needed just ask away.
Association....not accomodation.
most clubs had Spacesailor 20s sailing in Division 4 in those days along side Sorcerers, MB21s, Admiral 21s etc.
Hi mate . Thankyou for the reply. I have a s20 which is the small cabin day sailor. swing keel 10foot cockpit.

Ah yes the Swarbrick 20. Very different animal. Came off Kim Swarbricks drawing board around 1986. I recall him sailing one at the Cockburn Sound Regatta and doing very well in it..then they started appearing quite quickly at clubs in division 4 fleets. More like a dinghy to sail than the Spacesailer range.
At me stage there was a small fleet at East Fremantle YC and now can still be seen there, at Nedlands YC also and other clubs.
