Any ideas regarding his statements after 20 min. 30 seconds about aluminium anodes being superior to zinc?

Seems they are ecologically more friendly and cheaper but need to be kept clean.

Aluminium is the go-to for fresh water. Some may be alloyed to prevent, or at least minimise oxide film passivation. Also depends on the potential with the metal it is protecting.

Magnesium the best for fresh water, titanium/zink for sea .
