Anyone have seen one of them in action? Sailed one?
The price seems ok (new sails ) and I have located a trailer for it. I will be back in perth next week and will inspect and if ok make an offer.
I like racing more than cruising looks fast?

I would be checking out the bulkhead that the chainplates are attached to, looks like a bit of water has been leaking down there
but could be a fun boat if all checks out ok
cheers

yes I noticed the rust mark at the bottom of the chain plaate..... would remove the screws and nuts and replace, I have seen scary things on another yacht were the screws were 3/4 gone!

i have raced on and against many Jim young boats and don't think he ever designed one with bad manners most have been sailed pretty hard so i would check rudder case centerboard case chain-plates though for that price i think it's going to be hard to complain about condition
much better as a race boat than a crusier still competitive in trailer sailer fleet

Did some work on that boat and sailed against it a bit.

From memory it's pretty tender and if my memory serves me well they had issues getting the keel up but that may have been because of growth when it was on a mooring.
