Wishbone boomed roller furled staysail.

The main argument against a boomed staysail is that it makes the foredeck a dangerous place. A couple of years ago I had a go with my staysail, which is on a Profurl, to come up with a better system. Now I have a wishbone which can be used as a handrail on the foredeck, as it is very docile under all conditions. If anyone has tried something similar, I would be very interested in hearing about it. The wishbone is mounted at right angles to it's stay such that the clew is at the aft end of the boom when the sail is fully unfurled. The wishbone's stay is about 130mm forward of, and parallel to, the the foil's stay. This may sound a bit strange, but how else can a wishbone connect to a foil, unless it is below the sail? The wishbone vangs the sail, so that when sheeted firmly, the sail and wishbone are a very docile pair, and as stated above, the wishbone can be used as a handrail. The bottom section of the stay, from just above the wishbone to the deck is a ss rod with a ss tube over it to give a sturdy, unbendable mount for the wishbone. The rest of the stay is 1*19 ss. It is sheeted through a block on the deck just forward of the mast, which gives a straight line from the wishbone's stay mount, through a block on the aft end of the wishbone to the deck block. This imparts the docility to the setup. The staysail is a heavy cloth and it is my stormsail, when needed.
