Ended up buying a EWP 80 off ebay with 3/4 hose barbs on both ends. including the LCD controller which gives me full temp control of the engine including under and over temp and it can run before or after the motor is shut down for a few minuets off a programmable timer

A guy in South Africa makes them on computer cut out and flat pack them and send them on or he can build as well I guess windows included . The roof section is made in two panels to get the shape and thickness once you unpack you hold the roof panels down on a timber mould while you epoxy them roof together
Its the best shape Ive found in three years of searching the net on google

Ive see a few problems with the Taylor stove Gimbal mounts including my old Taylor where as the brass pivot become loose and the stove pivots on the thread. So I'm slowly sorting out a fix for mine.
Mine were far worse than than one you can see the gap in the threaded section and how if the stove become loose in a rough sea it could be a very dangerous item bouncing inside the cabin

So I am going to beef it up with some stainless angle inside the stove and weld a stainless bolt to the stainless angle iron


Both my side plates on the stove when I unpacked it were slightly bent this is where Ill rivet some stainless angle iron to the inside on the stove and then weld a threaded stud to the angle iron and fit my pivots to the stud



bored and threaded pivot below once its tight I might drill and fit a roll pin so it will never move (well I hope) the above bolt is not stainless just for temp fitting


once the stainless angle iron it fitted I will also drill a hole so the stoves hot plate can be secured to the stove as an added precaution. In the left of the photo above you can just make out a brass screw that along with 5 other screws holds the cast iron hot plate to the stove with brass lugs its a OK but Ill strengthen it as well.








I will probably get the hot plate enamelled in black next year if I have any spare boat dollars

What is on the underside of the chain plates on yours as it looks like a completely different design to mine

On mine on either side there are 2 triangle shaped pieces fabricated out of flat bar where the vertical side of the triangle bolts up to a vertical bulkhead (one on either side of the bulkhead) and the horizontal side of the triangle sits under the deck and the 3 vertical tags that the rigging attaches to go through the deck and are sealed with cover plates on the outside

HG, when it comes time to use the Perfection don't forget to tarp up so no dew or moisture gets on the paint.
And you don't have to mix all the paint together at once (like it's supposed to be) you CAN portion it out.
Missus did it that way, very successfully. Good luck mate, you're doing great.

See if you can lay your hands on one of these HG. I found mine on the internet and it came all the way from China and took for ever and a day but it has been an absolute godsend for the application of preheat fuel to the Taylor You can squirt a very accurate jet into the burner and measure it out accurately as well.

Because metho is so expensive here in Fiji I have to use isopropyl alcohol which is also expensive, only less so, so it helps save those precious dollars.

The biggest bonus is being able to direct a jet into the aperture at the top of the burner without undue spillage. This is what turns most people off as spilled metho when it catches fire frightens folk. Whilst it is relatively benign it does scare people. I have had a couple of female friends who hate the stove for this reason. John Gardener at Taylor's confirmed that one of the biggest problems with the stove is women!

removed the deck section of my chain plates and will clean them and replace the through bolts and nuts and reseal them . While there off Ill prep and paint around the brackets
