I've bought shade cloth with 90% blockout to protect my Nacra from the sun as it will be stored outside on its trailer. The gel coat is currently excellent.

Is this material good enough or do I need something that blocks 100% of sun? I haven't opened it yet so can return it.

thanks,

Greg.

Shade cloth is good.

Just make sure it doesn't chafe the gel coat. Consider a 'sock' over each bow forward of the beam to protect the gelcoat from chafe.

Also ? dust/UV Car cover -from $50 - are worth a look. The Material is stronger than you think - have one over a 18ft trailer sailer that has lasted 3 years . Be aware to shield sharps/fittings,and find secluded spot sheltered from the wind,or will be gone !
