Always loved the look of the Status 580,
most important question first can they be self rescued?
if not might as well look at a full cabin trailer sailer.
The Spanker 19 from Holland really look gorgeous , is there much difference in the two or are they as they state based on the same boat?

I cant tell you if they can be self rescued but i have to concur the status 19 is a beautiful boat to sail.
I used to own a Status 19. Number 7 from the moulds. I bought the bare hull and deck with the lifting keel installed. Lovely boat to sail. I never capsized mine and I reckon it would be fairly difficult to do under normal sailing conditions. With the keel locked down it was self righting and the cockpit was self draining. I remember the builder telling me he did it on purpose with the first one he built for promotional photos.
