Yikes! I'm really interested in knowing what happened, conditions, point of sail, anything break, do something wrong, which way did it go over?
Also did they recover the tri? Sea state didn't look too bad at the time the stills were taken but not really much to go on, could be a lot rougher than it appears even at time of rescue.

An upturned tri seems to make a pretty good life raft
I did'nt think conditions on Saturday afternoon were that bad, winds around 15-18 knots and sea/swell 3-4m. Assume something went wrong, or they were pushing the boat too hard?

The report I heard on the TV on Saturday said the boat was sinking and heading for the rocks North of Garden Island. It didn't sound like it would be recoverable. Insurance would probably write it off anyway.
Same thing happened to my friend's brother in Qld a couple of years ago. Was pushing the boat and took a bad gust that pitchpoled them. Their EPIRB was trapped inside the upturned hull. Luckily the teenage daughter had clung on to her mobile throughout and was able to phone for help.
I think the boat's name is Blue Moon - currently dismasted and washed up on the beach.
Conditions on Saturday were generally OK, but gusty and a squall came through mid-afternoon topping 35+knts. A couple of H28s were dismasted in the river, so things would have been hairy off shore in a 3-4m swell.
pity the rescue boat looked like it could have pulled the tri back over end on end and recovered it as well.
Glad all on board wer rescued ok.

If it's Blue Moon that's the one that was just sold a couple of months ago.
