Hi All.
I am after some ideas on a temporary fix for my gear selector cable. I have attached a picture wherethe outer tubing has corroded away leaving just the inner core. Its not any issue using the throttle to select forward as it simply pulls the inner cable forward, but going back to neutral and reverse the inner cable bends upwards with the pressure.
I am about 4 weeks from being able to replace it and looking for some ideas.
I'm well aware it needs replacing, but just after a some thoughts on how i can band-aid it for now.

Thanks

Short piece of reinforced rubber hose. Slit it full length with a Stanly knife slip it over the cable and the fixed ends and secure both ends with electrical ties.
